Paul Merkel, CPA


Paul is a Partner at Bansley and Kiener who has spent his entire professional career serving the needs of our clients. Paul previously served as Managing Partner of the firm for 16 years. He is highly regarded in the Chicagoland area as a trusted advisor for labor organizations and other not-for-profit organizations, multi-employer benefit plans, family owned businesses and individual tax clients. Paul has carried on the B&K legacy and has been instrumental in growing the firm into the regional leader that it is today.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He also serves as a member of the Board of Regents of the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago, Illinois.
